If you’re finding it difficult to stick to your fitness testing plan, you might want to look into bringing a partner along. With a friend or a spouse at the gym with you, you can both complain as you do your workouts, helping to make the time fun and to make the chore less of a chore. You might also want to create an agreement between the two of you that you will both show up to the gym on certain days at certain times. It’s much more difficult to skip a workout when you know someone else is waiting for you. And with another person, it’s always more fun, even if the workout isn’t. Competitive person? Daily fitness tests help establish a freandly competition. What is your fitness level today?
Make One New Goal Per Day
Challenging yourself is another way to make fitness testing fun. Each time you workout, try to set one new goal for yourself. This will give you something to push for while also helping you to feel as though you have achieved something each time, even if you felt your workout wasn’t as good as it could have been. These goals can be small, but do them anyway. In time, you might even want to write down all you’ve accomplished so you have a record of just how committed you’ve been to your fitness plan.
Fitness testing doesn’t have to be boring. In fact, you might find you look forward to fitness more times than not.
